Purpose: How it works: Skin needling works by creating micro punctures to our epidermal and dermal layer. The micro trauma caused by the needles initiates a wound healing cascade within our skin to repair damaged tissue and the skins outer layer Accent Prime combines two key technologies – non-focused ultrasound and fractional unipolar radio frequency – to deliver non-invasive lipolysis and circumference reduction, and a reduction in skin laxity. The fusion of these technologies ensures patients receive a longer-lasting skin tightening in fewer treatment sessions. Combined together, these technologies work as a anti-aging, brightening and tightening duo
Time it takes: 2-2.5 hours
Pain level: minimal discomfort during skin needling as numbing cream is applied. Bunk heating can be felt during the radio frequency/ultrasound treatment.
Anaesthesia: Numbing cream applied
Down time: A inflammatory skin response will occur in the skin during treatment as this is what we want to see in the skin – this is what stimulates and builds our new collagen. This response can make the skin appear sunburnt. Redness, tightness and tenderness are completely normal responses, as well as some pinpoint bleeding may be visible. This redness will generally subside 24-48 hours post treatment and the skin will turn more pink in colour. The skin will generally return to normal 4 days post the treatment. Some individuals may experience dryness 3 days after the procedure.
